The New Jersey Economic Development Authority has unveiled the Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program, which provides grants to businesses impacted by the sinkhole on Route 80.
Grants of $1,000 to $15,000 are available to businesses and non-profits within a five-mile radius of the closures around Exit 34 in Wharton.
State Assemblywoman Aura K. Dunn (R-25th Dist.) stressed the need for business and non-profit leaders to act quickly to obtain assistance.
"This has been a difficult time for businesses that have been affected by this road closure," she said. "The EDA is ready to help. But they must take advantage of this opportunity quickly to get some relief to cover lost revenue."
Businesses must apply for the grants while the funds are available. CLICK HERE for more information on applying for the NJEDA grants.
