Assemblywoman Aura Dunn (R-25th Dist.) delivers report on Route 80 construction.

PLEASE READ BELOW FOR HER MESSAGE:

Dear Residents,

I am pleased to report that all three westbound lanes on I-80 in Wharton are expected to reopen this weekend, 11 days ahead of schedule. This is a welcome development for commuters, residents, and local businesses alike.

To make this happen, one westbound lane will close overnight tonight (Monday, June 9), Tuesday, and Wednesday so crews can repave and remove barriers. At least one lane will remain open each night.

A full westbound closure is scheduled for Friday night, June 13, for final paving and striping. Weather permitting, all lanes are expected to reopen by Saturday, June 14.

Eastbound repairs are also progressing, with all lanes on track to reopen by June 21st.

Please remember:

Westbound speed limit: 45 mph

Eastbound speed limit: 40 mph

Use caution—these are active work zones.
