NJDOT: Sinkhole Work Will Go Into June

Daily commutes, visits to family and friends, and local shopping trips along Route 80 near Wharton will be exercises in patience and knowledge of backroad shortcuts for the next three months, according to engineers with the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
NJ Assemblywoman Aura K. Dunn (25th District) announced the news in a release Thursday evening. The release outlines a three-phase plan to reinforce the highway that gave way to a sinkhole caused by the collapse of an abandoned iron ore mineshaft. See below for more details:
