Mutual Morris offers Solidarity Market event on Saturday, August 22.

The kids in our homes might not want to hear it, but it's almost time to get back in the classroom. With virtually every local household facing some form of financial challenge, parents are learning how to find solutions for stretching their dollars.
Enter Mutual Morris and the Dover Free Public Library.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, Mutual Morris, a local mutual aid group that frequently hosts community-focused Dover events, is hosting a school-and-craft-supplies free Solidarity Market at the Dover Library.
Aylin Rosica, a Mutual Morris volunteer member, says Dover Library has hosted general and themed free Solidarity Markets for more than 2 years. Whether you are looking for help or want to donate goods or assist in any way, Rosica shines a light on the program.
How many people do you serve?
Our markets usually see around 20- 50 people coming to shop, but Mutual Morris as a whole has served hundreds of community members all over the county with individual outreach and events.
What is needed most?
As this Solidarity Market is school and craft supply themed, we welcome all items that fall into these categories. To register for a table, please email us at info@mutualmorris.com
Where can people make donations?
Our markets are about community, first and foremost, so we encourage everyone who wants to bring items to stay for the event. At the end of the event, please take with you any of your items that were not taken. The library is collecting school supplies so those bringing items are welcomed to donate to the library after the event.
Will there be other free markets?
Yes! The Free Solidarity market is hosted by Mutual Morris almost every month, usually at the Dover Library, but occasionally at other locations around Morris County. Our next market is for all household, clothing, kids, and personal items and will be hosted at the Dover Library again on Saturday, September 26.
