Dover Superintendent Spreading the Word

Dover Schools Superintendent Luis Jaime has been in the position for approximately 18 months. From day one, he has been spreading a commitment to effective communication.

“In my first year, I realized that I am not only part of a district. I am part of the community,” he said. “I realized that superintendents used not to be as visible, so I went on a listening tour, and I vowed to keep learning and sharing.”

He’s getting students, teachers, support staff, and parents involved in the conversation. “We want to build and train students to have healthy educational and coping skills; our team of counselors and in-house therapists helps students know their wellness is a priority.”

“We will be using our Youtube channel for monthly recaps from me in Spanish and English, streaming BOE meetings for busy parents to watch, and a what’sapp site to give students and parents the information they need to access.”
