Dover Event to Honor Veterans

Residents encouraged to join a tribute honoring local veterans.

The Town of Dover will commemorate Veterans Day with a community ceremony at 6p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, at Hurd Park, 276 W. Blackwell Street. 

This long-standing tradition invites residents to come together in gratitude and remembrance, honoring the service, courage, and sacrifice of local veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. 

A proud fixture on Dover’s civic calendar, the ceremony offers a solemn yet uplifting opportunity for reflection, recognizing the men and women who have defended the nation’s freedoms, many of whom are part of the Dover community. This program typically lasts an hour and a half, featuring remarks, readings, and musical tributes.

Town officials encourage residents of all ages to attend and take part in this meaningful tribute.
